Circular clothing can be defined as apparel that is produced with the intention to be used as long as possible and with the option of recycling or of regenerating natural systems.
Did you know that globally, less than 1% of all disposed textiles is chemically recycled back to reusable raw materials. Recycling without loss of quality is just possible if the textiles are made from pure fibres. As a result 12% are recycled by cutting or shredding it into insulation material or rags and 87% is sent to landfill or incinerated.
Our clothes are designed with longevity and circularity in mind. When the shirts are no longer wearable, we recommend to cut all labels out, because they are made from recycled polyester (up to 80% rPET) and therefore are not biodegradable yet. The embroideries can be cut out and used for something new. The cloth and yarns are biodegradable. This is the most advanced closed-loop system.
